Ceramics Practice 1

Course Outline: The course aims to build technical knowledge and sculptural skills within the ceramic practice in an exciting, creative learning environment. A key aspect of this course is to develop clay modeling techniques, to gain and develop an understanding of figurative proportions, 2D and 3D observational skills, as well as an introduction to core ceramic techniques.

The course aims to build technical knowledge and sculptural skills within the ceramic practice in an exciting, creative learning environment. A key aspect of this course is to develop clay modeling techniques, to gain and develop an understanding of figurative proportions, 2D and 3D observational skills, as well as an introduction to core ceramic techniques.

This course is based both on individual and group work, adjoining group discussion and personal creative development, progressing to the presentation of a finished final piece that will be exhibited as part of a group show.
