At the start of the academic year, first year Business Management students were tasked with helping 12 charities to raise awareness of their causes as well as helping them to raise money.
The organisations included a local school, a homeless charity and a theatre group with students having to arrange a range of projects whilst also documenting their activities and campaigns by creating dedicated websites and social media.
The Unit Nineteen Showcase event was a celebration of the students’ achievements as well as being an opportunity for the University to highlight its innovative approach to its undergraduate Business Management portfolio.
Business Management students are also given the opportunity to specialise in a particular discipline, such as marketing, human resource, finance and accounting and to also obtain accreditation to a range of professional bodies including the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
