CPCS A17E – Suspended Loads - 11 December

The aim of this course is to provide existing telescopic handler operators with the additional practical and Theoretical knowledge required to assist them when travelling with suspended loads from a hook attachment (pick and carry).

Endorsement E: Suspended loads(non-rough terrain) – the carrying of loads suspended from a variety of lifting
Accessories or suitable attachment, on level and even surfaces.

Successful learners can obtain the CPCS Red Trained Operator Card. In all cases, applicants must pass the appropriate CITB Health, Safety and Environment test. You will be advised which route is appropriate at the delivery/test centre.

Who should attend
This course is aimed at experienced telescopic handler operators that already hold the telescopic handler category (A17C or A17D)

  • Safe systems of work, lift plans, method statements and risk assessments
  • Personal responsibilities
  • Pre start and running checks
  • Quick-hitch systems and changing attachments
  • Machine stability, duty charts and safety devices
  • Machine setup/ configuration
  • Travelling with suspended loads
  • Methods of communication
  • Slinging techniques

2 days. 1 day training and 1 day practical and theory assessment.
