Course Content

The first day of the course will cover an initial class room briefing session setting out everything you need to know about the B+E test and what standard is required from you to pass this test first time. You will then be trained on all the reversing, uncoupling/ re coupling, loading, securing and all other safety aspects of off road trailer use. Students will also be taken out on the road for a short introduction to what is required on the road for the B+E test.

Students will have class room feedback session at the end of the first day so that they know exactly where they are up to for when they come back in for their second day of one to one training and test. The feedback session will be based on dash cam footage of their driving and they would also take away a report of where they are up to and some training material ready for the next session.

The second day is a one to one basis as there is a lot of on road training to get through.  You will also practice the reversing exercise and the uncouple recouple exercise several times in the exact same order as they will on the test. It is a lot of mock test situations on that day. All of this training is carried out at a DVSA approved customer test centre where they will sit their test at the end of that day. (Wrexham)

Please note: You will be sitting a DVSA B+E Driving Test which is based on the DVSA LGV test.  A high standard of driving is required during the one-and-a-half-hour test, this will be undertaken with a DVSA Examiner.
