Overview
This 4 week course is suitable for candidates who are currently out of work or looking to change career and wish to enter the construction and civil engineering industry. You will also have the chance to work towards and gain plant operator tickets and preparation for CSCS test, giving you all the tools you need to start on a construction site. Candidates should be willing to carry out manual work and bring own PPE. Candidates can be 16 years of age and upwards. At the end of the course you will have the option to apply for employment with key stakeholders.

Construction Health Safety and Awareness.
Cable avoidance tool.
Safe working in excavations.
Laying of drainage and services.
Excavation of foundations , setting out and leveling.
Construction of floor slabs.
Working with concrete.
Construction of roadways and footpaths.
Kerb laying, block paving, tarmacking.
Awareness of working on highways.
CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper.
CPCS Ride on Roller.
Manual Handling.
Abrasive Wheels.
