1. Why did you choose Environmental Conservation?

Environmental Science is something real. It’s all around us, it’s something exciting and I loved it.

2. What is the best thing about the programme?

Because of the small classes you have more one-to-one interaction. The teachers are so passionate about what they do. It’s contagious and I think that was the best thing about the course.

3. Tell me about your job.

I am a Flood Risk Technical Assistant in the Rhondda – we assess the flood risk and manage flood defence. Without the degree I wouldn't have been able to go into that sector.

4. Would you recommend Environmental Conservation?

Go for it! You would have an amazing time. It’s something real, everything you learn relates to the world around you and I think that rather than being stuck in an office it’s better to get out there. It’s just a nice job to do, really exciting.
