Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) validates the ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks and work collaboratively with specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions.

The CCNP certification is appropriate for those with at least one year of networking experience who are ready to advance their skills and work independently on complex network solutions. Those who achieve CCNP have demonstrated the skills required in enterprise roles such as network technician, support engineer, systems engineer or network engineer.

The CCNP curriculum consists of three courses: CCNP ROUTE: Implementing IP Routing, CCNP SWITCH: Implementing IP Switching, and CCNP TSHOOT: Maintaining and Troubleshooting IP Networks. 

This course teaches students how to implement, monitor, and maintain routing services in an enterprise network. Students will learn how to plan, configure, and verify the implementation of complex enterprise LAN and WAN routing solutions, using a range of routing protocols in IPv4 and IPv6 environments. The course also covers the configuration of secure routing solutions to support branch offices and mobile workers. Comprehensive labs emphasize hands-on learning and practice to reinforce configuration skills.

Relevant Certification Exam:  300-101 Route Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE v2.0)

This course teaches students how to implement, monitor, and maintain switching in converged enterprise campus networks. Students will learn how to plan, configure, and verify the implementation of complex enterprise switching solutions. The course also covers the secure integration of VLANs, WLANs, voice, and video into campus networks. Comprehensive labs emphasize hands-on learning and practice to reinforce configuration skills.

Relevant Certification Exam:  300-115 SWITCH  Implementing Cisco IP Switching (SWITCH v2.0)

This course teaches students how to monitor and maintain complex, enterprise routed and switched IP networks. Skills learned include the planning and execution of regular network maintenance, as well as support and troubleshooting using technology-based processes and best practices, in a systematic and ITIL-compliant approach. Extensive labs emphasize hands-on learning and practice to reinforce troubleshooting techniques

Relevant Certification Exam: 300-135 TSHOOT  Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks (TSHOOT v2.0)

Valid Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification or any Cisco CCIE certification can act as a prerequisite.
