Video Conferencing

The university provides a number of videoconferencing suites which are available for use on its many campus’. The suites are all Tandberg IP standards based systems that provide for interoperability with the Welsh Video Network (WVN) and the JANET videoconferencing service (JVCS). Videoconferencing systems are very reliable and easy to use, we can provide training in the use of the equipment if needed.

Videoconferencing can be used for teaching, meetings, reducing travelling and hence being sustainable and reducing cost to the university. If you have an idea that you think could be delivered via videoconference get in touch and we will aim to accommodate. Ideas include:

  • distance learning
  • meet with other individuals or groups in real time without the need for costly and time-consuming travel
