Through the Innovation in Digital Heritage Interpretation project, students at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David are creating a Digital App to increase footfall on select heritage sites of Carmarthenshire. The ultimate aim of this “industry standard” app is to encourage tourism in the region.
This project and post is part-funded through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Union.
We are seeking an experienced Digital Producer to lead a team of students, to manage and coordinate a series of industry-led workshops, and to work with academics across four Faculties in facilitating this project.
The post-holder will be responsible for managing, operating and delivering the project. The post-holder will be responsible for achieving project outputs; liaising with academic staff and students; co-ordinating freelancers and companies; and project recording and reporting for both internally and external audit purposes. The post-holder will manage the project communication, facilitate marketing and project dissemination, and ensure that appropriate recording mechanisms for project activity are developed and maintained. The post-holder will work closely with other members of the project team and staff within the institution, as well as with external clients and providers.
The post-holder will have line management responsibilities, overseeing a team of approximately 10 students. The post-holder will also be willing to lead workshops on Project Management soft skills such as time management, scheduling and budgeting. Key to this position are: excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent organisation skills; a good understanding of digital technology solutions; an understanding of gamification (gaming apps); and an understanding of digital storytelling.
