Since making his Scarlets debut in 2006-07, Davies has risen to stardom, earning over 60 caps for Wales whilst winning two Six Nations Championships and a Grand Slam, playing in two Rugby World Cups, winning a British and Irish Lions series and competing in a European Rugby Champions Cup final.
His return to the Scarlets ahead of the 2016-17 season was greeted with jubilation amongst fans. Davies toured a second British & Irish Lions tour in the summer of 2017 and was named Player of the Series after scintillating performances.

The University’s long and prestigious association with Welsh Rugby began 150 years ago when Roland Williams, a former Vice Principal of St David’s College Lampeter, introduced the game of rugby to Wales. Since then a number of sporting legends have risen to fame on UWTSD’s campuses.
