Useful shelf marks
Book stock is arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification scheme (this scheme is a system where numbers represent the various subjects). The Library catalogue is the place to start when searching for items on a particular subject or for an item on a reading list.

Journals and books are located on the ground floor. Please note that the journals are for reference use only and cannot be borrowed.
In addition to the printed journals held in the Owen Library there are online journals that can be accessed through the “eJournals” and “Databases” sections of the Library’s Web pages.
In the Owen Library the Reference section is located on the ground floor. The Reference section includes items such as dictionaries, directories and encyclopaedias. Online reference material is also available on the Library’s Web pages.
