What is The Student Researcher?
The Student Researcher is Trinity Saint David’s journal of undergraduate research. The aim of The Student Researcher is to promote research at undergraduate level and showcase achievements of all undergraduates across all levels and disciplines of the University.
Trinity Saint David research and teaches a wide range of subjects which is expanding once more on merger with Swansea Metropolitan University. The journal offers an opportunity for all undergraduates to publish work from all Schools. As a multidisciplinary journal currently it is one of only a few in the UK and the only one in Wales. Being multidisciplinary it offers us an insight into subjects and areas many of us would not usually have access to and provides an opportunity for the Trinity Saint David community to share its expertise.
Active student participation in university life is becoming more important and the journal is just one way the university promotes the links between research and teaching. The Editorial Board is supported by the university in its commitment to linking research and teaching and as such the journal does more than showcase individual work, it represents the very heart of what it is to experience Higher Education, that of learning to undertake the journey of research and to pursue and contribute to the development of discipline knowledge. This journey begins with the undergraduate experience with that very first lecture and assignment.
This website has information about the journal and if you would like to become involved please contact one of the team who will be happy to speak to you.
