Final year photography students at UWTSD’s Swansea College of Art will be selling off their work at an auction in the city centre on Monday April 25

21.04.2016

FINAL year photography students at UWTSD’s Swansea College of Art, will be selling off their work at an auction in the city centre on Monday, April 25.

The event will take place at Cinema and Co, 17 Castle Square, from 6pm until midnight, with the auction getting underway at 7pm.

UWTSD’s Paul Duerinckx, programme director for BA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography said: “The print auction has been organised by final year photography students and is an opportunity for people to buy original artwork by these 32 up-and-coming artists. In addition, prints will be available from both current and former staff who have their own established art practises, and have exhibited and published both nationally and internationally.

"A broad range of high quality photographs are available to bid on, including work by established artists such as John Paul Evans, a prizewinner in the 2016 Hasselblad Masters Awards.”

The prints are on display in the Dynevor Canteen until Friday, where it will be possible to start bidding on prints you like (so you have a chance of winning even if you are unable to attend the auction on Monday).

There is also a DJ who will be playing music until midnight when the venue shuts.

Additional information about the event can be found on the link to the Facebook page below, where you can also view and bid on some of the prints produced by the 3rd Year Photo Arts and Photo Journalism students at Swansea College of Art.
