UWTSD students organise a Futuristic Tourism Conference

15.03.2017

A futuristic Tourism Conference organised by students for students and the industry takes place at Swansea Business School on Monday, March 20 at 10am.

Led by Masters students from the School of Tourism and Hospitality at University of Wales Trinity Saint David, the event will welcome industry guest speakers including representatives from ABTA, as well as graduates from the University.

Attracting colleges and industry representatives from across Swansea and South Wales, the event will focus on student led research and provide the opportunity for the next generation of Tourism and Events professionals to consider new developments in virtual reality, the cruise industry, events experiences and the importance of student internships.

UWTSD's Jacqui Jones, Programme Director and senior lecturer said: "Our MTour Tourism and Events Students have worked really hard to plan and organise the inaugural 'World's Our Lecture Theatre Conference' which is being supported by ABTA and Activity Wales. The event will include post graduate and alumni presentations on Virtual Reality, The Events Experience, the Cruise Industry, International Internships and Managing the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It's an exciting opportunity for them to share their industry experiences with students of the future."
