Dennis O’Neill and Future Opera Stars in Special One-Off Performance

Dennis O'NeillInternationally acclaimed Welsh Tenor Dennis O’Neill and students from the Wales International Academy of Voice (WIAV), a part of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD), will give a one-off performance in Pembrokeshire next week.

WIAV is based in Cardiff and, as a part of UWTSD, works with a select number of operatic singers from around the world, under the directorship of Dennis O’Neill and the patronage of Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

WAIV will perform at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven on Saturday 9th May, starting at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased over the phone on 01646 695267 or online via http://www.torchtheatre.co.uk/events/?event_id=1317.

Signing with Dennis O’Neill will be WIAV students, many of whom have travelled to Wales to study from overseas, including New Zealand, Australia and Lithuania. They have been taught by the very best coaches, language experts and vocal technicians. The performers will be accompanied by WIAV Head of Music, Jane Samuel.

WIAV students Fredi Jones, from New Zealand, and Stephanie Gibson, from Australia, will also perform at the Radyr Music Festival on Friday 15th May. The lunchtime recital will take place at the Methodist Church in Radyr and tickets are available over the phone on 029 20 843 176.
