The University Of Wales Trinity Saint David’s (UWTSD) Swansea College of Art are hosting the World Illustration Awards 2015 from the 16th of November to the 11th of December as it begins its National Tour from Somerset House in London.

The Awards recognise the exceptional work produced by artists and illustrators around the world and promote illustration as an essential contributor to global visual culture.

The exhibition includes the 16 category winners whose work has been selected from over 2,000 entries and honoured for its creativity and craftsmanship. The winners fall into two sections, Professional: open to all practicing professionals, and New Talent: open to students and recent graduates.

Derek Bainton, Head of School of Visual Communication said: "To host an event of this magnitude, is to bring to Wales; to our students and staff, and to the public, a global perspective on illustration and to celebrate the diversity of style, content and medium of this multi-disciplinary art-form."
