Approximately 100 students have made the journey from London to West Wales for their graduation ceremony at UWTSD’s campus in Carmarthen.

UWTSD London is located within Kennington Business Park on Brixton Road in the Lambeth area. It offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to overseas students in subjects such as business, management, banking and finance, marketing, entrepreneurship and human resources.

Graduating MBA Marketing student Chetna Raja, from Zimbabwe, said: “We’re having a fantastic time here on our first visit to Wales; a group of us have rented a cottage in Llansteffan for a few days. We’ve been visiting the beaches and exploring the countryside. We’ve been quite lucky with the weather too. I really enjoyed my studies at UWTSD’s London campus. My plan for the future is to return to my home country of Zimbabwe and pursue a career in marketing and advertising. I also have a degree in Graphic Design which I think will complement my MBA really well.”

Fellow MBA Marketing graduate Saima Safder, from Pakistan, said: “I’m really excited to be graduating today. I had a brilliant time on the course and I know it will help me with my future plans. I have worked with the United Nations as a researcher and I hope to start my own organisation that supports and promotes rural education in Pakistan.”

Professor Medwin Hughes, UWTSD Vice-Chancellor, said: “Graduation provides the opportunity for us to acknowledge the support of parents, families and friends and to invite them to share this important day in the academic life of the University community.

“The presence of international students on our campuses enriches the culture and academic life of the University and makes an invaluable contribution to our reputation as an international institution. I would like to congratulate them on all of their achievements and wish them every success for the future.”
