All programmes within the School of Performing Arts have been designed to develop students’ professional skills so that they graduate as industry-ready, independent and creative practitioners.
The School’s engagement and collaboration with theatre professionals from different disciplines creates an extremely encouraging and supportive environment in which students can safely explore and experiment.
The School sits at the cultural heart of the Carmarthen campus with a wide range of theatre professionals contributing to the programmes as tutors, directors, designers and musical directors.
Students are taught by professionals who work within the performance industry. With a final year that is entirely production-based, vocational training programmed in acting, theatre design and production, dance and musical performance enables students to explore what it means to be a professional arts practitioner.

We also welcome incoming students from the three partner Universities to study with us for a semester.
Students pay the same tuition fees they would pay if studying at our University, however students are responsible for paying additional expenses such as accommodation, meals, flights and spending money.
Furthermore. there is an opportunity to study a module in Vancouver during your second year. This ‘summer school’ is hosted by Douglas College, our partner institution in Canada, and offers a varied cultural and educational programme.
