Postgraduate Engagement Fair
The Postgraduate Engagement Fair is a research and social event for postgraduates at UWTSD. It is an opportunity for postgraduates from all the UWTSD campuses including Swansea, Carmarthen, Lampeter and London to meet, network, shape the RDP and feel part of the postgraduate community at UWTSD.
The event consists of postgraduate presentations of research, the 3 min thesis competition, music and opportunities to network. Held each year on the Swansea Campus, transport from all the other campuses is organised bringing students from Lampeter, Carmarthen, Swansea and London together. It is also an important forum for research students to inform the development of the research culture.
The most recent event was held this year, March 2 on the Swansea Campus.
The opening address was given by UWTSD’s Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, Enterprise and Commercialisation Professor Mike Phillips. He welcomed the students to the fair and encouraged them to take the opportunity to think about the practical implications of their research and how to maximise the facilities available to maximise its impact. Throughout the day, several postgraduate research students from UWTSD presented their research to the group. Here are some links to those presentations:
There was also a folk music performance from Mr Tom Martin
