Once you have decided on a course that you wish to study with us, you need to check that you meet our standard entry requirements and English language requirements.

If you are still studying at your school or university you do not have to wait until you have finished your current course to apply to the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. We can make you a conditional offer based on the results you expect to achieve.

Undergraduate Programmes, applicant must have a Bachelor degree (2-3 year programme)

Postgraduate Programmes, applicants must have one of the following:

  • Master’s degree (when following a 3 or 4 year Bachelor degree)
  • Successful completion of the equivalent to a UK honours degree in a relevant subject

School certificates and certified transcripts must accompany your application

For undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, applicants must have one of the following:

  • Achieved a minimum of 6.0 overall and a minimum of 5.5 in each component of reading, writing, listening and speaking in a UKVI approved IELTS English language test
  • Completion of an academic qualification equivalent to a UK degree which was taught in English in a majority English speaking country (as defined by UKVI)
  • Recently successfully completed a course in the UK using a Tier 4 (Child) student visa
  • For Foundation Art and Design and HND programmes, applicants must have one of the following:
  • Confirmation that you have achieved a minimum of 6.0 overall and a minimum of 5.5 in each component of reading, writing, listening and speaking in a UKVI approved IELTS English language test. 
  • Confirmation that you have completed an academic qualification equivalent to a UK degree which was taught in English in a majority English speaking country (as defined by the UKVI)
  • Recently successfully completed a course in the UK using a Tier 4 (Child) student visa

You will need to provide evidence that you meet the required level of English Language.

In the UK, in addition to IELTS, we also accept the Trinity College London English language qualification (ISE II), for admission to our programmes. This test is a UKVI approved English language test, if the test has been taken in the UK. Testing facilities are available at various centres across the world, and at SELT centres in the UK. International Student Scholarships 2017/2018

These scholarships are available to students studying at the main UWTSD Carmarthen, Lampeter and Swansea campuses along with Distance Learners. Students based at partnership colleges should contact their own institutions for details of scholarships available to them. Students to liaise with International Office and must submit completed application form.
