Antje Cockrill

Currently my teaching focuses on postgraduates, I teach Research Methods and Consultancy Management on the MBA and supervise MBA dissertation students. I supervise several research students (DBA and PhD) and am the International Partnership Team Leader for our DBA programme. I am also the academic lead for the CIM qualifications and the MA Music Entrepreneurship. I am also actively involved in programme and staff development at university level.

I joined Swansea Business School in January 2014, after having started my academic career at Swansea University in 2001. Prior to this, I have worked for several years as researcher, information/marketing officer and project manager, lastly at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Cardiff.

My first degree is a Magister (Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universität Frankfurt), and I hold a Master’s degree and a PhD (1996) from Aberystwyth University. My doctor thesis investigated marketing management practices in German and British university libraries. Previously I have also worked in the public sector and financial services. My academic work has been published in a wide range of peer reviewed journals, and has been presented at a number of international conferences.

In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, being a Cub Scout Leader and archery.
