Ioan has worked as a professional actor since 1986 covering radio, film, television and corporate work.

  • Full Equity and Spotlight member. Represented by Emptage Hallett Agency.
  • NYTW Steering Panel Chairman. Member of NYAW advisory panel.

Ioan works across BA Acting and BA Perfformio, and has contributed to the delivery of Theatre in Education, Main House Performance, Prif Gynhyrchiad, Performance for Radio and Television and Site Specific Performance.

Ioan’s recent professional work includes ‘Your Should Ask Wallace’ (Theatr Na nOg) ‘The Darkest Day’ (Lindisfarne Films), The Verb (BBC Radio 3), ‘Aiden Melberg’ (BBC Radio Cymru), ‘Storm’ (Theatr Genedlaethol), ‘The Boy who went fishing for compliments’ (RBC),’Teulu’ (S4C), ‘Gwaith Cartref’ (S4C) and ‘Pen Talar’ (S4C) and his voice has been heard on local and national radio stations, BBC and S4C.

Ioan has been a Role Model for the ‘Syniadau Mawr Cymru / Big Ideas Wales’ since 2006. 

In 2014, Ioan won the inaugural award for ‘Inspirational Educator’ at the Young Critics Theatre Awards for his one-man show with ‘Theatr Na nOg’. ‘You Should Ask Wallace’ toured the UK, Rio de Janeiro and Singapore between 2009 and 2014 performing to over 25,000 young people
