Health and Fitness Suite - includes state-of-the-art Technogym fitness equipment and resistance machines in a friendly spacious environment.
Sports Hall– multipurpose sports hall which can be used for a number of sports i.e. 5-a-side football, tennis, badminton, basketball, netball, soft tennis, volleyball, table tennis plus an indoor climbing wall.
Swimming Pool – heated 20m x7m indoor pool. For use by all students and staff.

The Fitness Suite, with its wide range of Technogym cardiovascular and resistance machines as well as free weights, provides a fantastic facility for exercising. Our staff are well qualified and experienced in providing support and advice to users whatever their reason for exercising. In the interest of safety and to enable all users to make the most of the Fitness Suite, full inductions are compulsory before you use the Fitness Suite.
A 45 minute to 1 hour induction for the less experienced or less confident members. A training programme is given to all new members to get them up and running. Users are shown how to programme machines, set weights and are given an outline of safety measures for training.
This involves accurately testing your state of fitness and health to produce results that can be used to design fitness programmes and measure improvement. Fitness testing is available in two packages.

Other equipment in the Fitness Suite includes - Swiss Balls, Resistance Bands, Medicine Balls, Wobble Board, Skipping Ropes, etc.
The Sports Centre has a number of items of sports equipment for hire if required by a customer. Customers are, however, expected to bring their own.
The customer is required to leave either their membership card or some form of identification as a deposit for the required items. The charge for this service is £1.50 per hour for the necessary activity to go ahead. All breakages must be paid for or ID cards will be retained until payment has been received.

The Sports Centre is open to all Trinity University College, Carmarthen students and staff, and to the general public. Individuals must be over the age of 16 to gain entry to the Fitness Suite.
The party package aims to take the hassle out of organising a birthday party or any other celebration. A number of activities are offered which give users a chance to have fun under the watchful eye of a supervisor. Sports available include football, netball, basketball, volleyball or a number of racquet sports are available. If required, refreshments can be made available afterwards in the Halliwell Centre to complete the celebration.
On selected weekends throughout the year, come along & try your hand at a number of different sports. Fun for all the family. For further information and for when the next scheduled day is contact the Sports Centre reception.
Junior Sports Camps
During the Easter and Summer school holiday periods, the Sports Centre in conjunction with the School of Sport will run sports camps for the local community. The camps invite 5 to 14-year olds to participate in an array of sports, arts and fun activities.
The juniors are supervised throughout their sessions by qualified staff, who aim to make the sessions fun and informative. The camps provide the opportunity for the juniors to try a new sport/activity or to improve in a favourite one. Members with Disabilities
The Sports Centre welcomes all users, able bodied and less abled bodied, regardless of ability. All areas and activities at the Centre are fully accessible
There is a Creche (Y Gamfa Wen) situated just a few hundred yards away from the Sports Centre. An ideal opportunity to get some training done while the little ones are being looked after.

The University has a no smoking policy. The Sports Centre is a no smoking zone.
Please do not leave valuables unattended in the changing rooms. Lockers are provided for clothing and small valuables such as mobile phones and wallets. (There is a £1 returnable charge.) All lockers must be emptied at the end of the night. The University cannot be held responsible for the safety of any belongings left in the Centre.
Footwear and Clothing
Customers are required to wear nonmarking, clean and appropriate footwear for the activity they are taking part in. Users are requested nor to wear the same footwear that they have worn outside. Sports Centre staff prevent users from taking part in an activity if they are wearing shoes that could dirty or mark the floor. Customers are advised to wear clothing suitable for the activity.
The Sports Centre also houses a new Joint Care Clinic providing expertise in physiotherapy, orthopaedic consultancy and sport injuries to patients with musculoskeletal conditions. The Joint Care Clinic will welcome referrals from Doctors, Physiotherapists and other health care professionals as well as from private patients.
