There are currently over 30 different business systems in use within The University of Wales Trinity Saint David, these vary from small applications with a small number of users to larger corporate systems with thousands of users.
Your line manager will advise you as to what systems you will need access to as part of your induction.
Gaining access to relevant business systems?
The Information Technology & Systems team is responsible for setting up access to the key corporate systems. To request access to any of the systems you will need to place a request through the Service Desk unless detailed below. Your line manager will have to approve all requests for access.
Symmetry is the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s finance application and is used predominantly by finance users and users who raise Purchase Orders. Access approval for Symmetry is via the Finance department and once access has been granted, details of how to access the application will be explained by the Finance team.
KX is the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s application used to manage student accommodation, conferences and internal and external catering. Access to KX is limited to Student Services and Information Systems staff. If you require access to this please contact Student Services before logging a Service Desk call. Once access has been granted, details of how to access the application will be explained.
Agresso QLS is the Swansea campus' student records system. Only approved Staff members will have access to this system, Staff are requested to get approval from Registry before logging a service desk call for access. Once access has been granted, details of how to access the application will be explained.
Help and Support
Issues with systems should be reported to the Service Desk on 01792 481 134 (ext 4134 internally) giving details of the business system you are having issues with and a description of the issue. The issue will then be handled by the relevant department.
