Ethnicity and Education Seminar: Do aspirations and ambitions equal better schools? Lessons from research in England.

Room C, Cardiff City Hall, CF10 3ND

Wednesday, 25 November 2015 from 14:00 to 16:00 (GMT)

The Wales Centre for Equity in Education is developing a strand of work on ethnicity and education and we are pleased to invite you to attend this event. As part of this work we are delighted to announce that Professor Simon Burgess, a leading researcher in the economics of education at the University of Bristol, will be speaking at this seminar about his research on the implications ethnicity has for educational achievement in England. The seminar will provide a platform for the exchange of ideas surrounding the educational performance of pupils from different ethnic backgrounds and enable us to think of ways in which lessons from England can be applied to improve education in Wales.
