On the Computer Animation degree we open an entire animation production studio to YOU.
From multiple studio spaces to traditional workshops we offer the resources you need…..YOU bring your animated visions!

Our animation course includes classes on keyframing characters in classical and digital techniques, as well as covering 2D, stopframe, 3D and more, see examples below.

2D ANIMATION

Exercises on practising classical animation and movements via drawings and cintiqs.

CHARACTER ANIMATION

Learning how to put personality and gesture and character in our animation.

CONCEPT DESIGN

The basis for everything visually designed. Using your imagination and design skills to communicate your ideas and stories and character.

DIGITAL SCULPTING

The art of making models and character creation in 3D as if from clay; using some fantastic tools and techniques that portray anatomy and expression and style.

MAKING CHARACTERS

A selection of some of the finished models and characters showing student’s passion for fantasy and sci fi and more.

MAKING SCENES

Students invest a lot of time in the shot structure and the spaces - the look and the colours and the design of the environments.

MAKING SHOTS & FILMS

We break down the props and the animated parts that are needed and work on the cameras and lighting and textures.

MODEL SHEETS

In constructing characters we make model sheets of the different angles and proportions and expressions of the characters.

MODELMAKING

Student craft physical models in clay and we construct internal armatures for animating.

POSE DRAWINGS

For animating we want to try and have a good idea of the layout of the key movements and the force and the gestures/actions.
