As a programme we like to keep things fresh and respond to changing and emerging opportunities as and when they arise. This ensures that every new cohort’s experience is unique to them.
These experiences are often dictated by the character of the cohort itself, or the zeitgeist, by the vision of the programme team or by serendipity — this is what makes it exciting! As Surface Pattern and Textiles students, you can be sure that your programme team are as driven as you to get involved with what’s new, what’s challenging and what can act as a gateway to greater things for you as graduates.
This teaching and learning approach allows us to liaise with industry in a way that mirrors the practice of established designers and makers — this has seen us exhibit internationally — Paris, India, Rotterdam, and run projects with BBC, Freshwest, Mini Moderns, Toast and M&S, to name but a few.
