Gemma Stephenson Applied Psychology

Gemma Stephenson | BSc Applied Psychology

The best thing about the Applied Psychology course was definitely my lecturers, they are the best, really supportive. Studying at UWTSD Carmarthen has been really good, I like the small campus because you can really get your head down. Student Services here is absolutely amazing, their support was brilliant and I will definitely stay in touch with them. I don't know that I would have passed in any other university.

My course at UWTSD has taught me such a lot about myself. It taught me a lot about reflection and self-awareness. I chose the course as I’ve always been interested in counselling as I want to be able to make a difference to other people’s lives.

It really was an amazing end to a fantastic time at UWTSD. I have loved it all. My course was small and we were all really close with each other and our lecturers which made is easier to learn. My dissertation examined why the LGBT community suffer more mental health issues and I was able to research thoroughly with help and advice from my lecturers. I really can’t thank them enough for all their help.
