As an institution we are aiming to be a zero carbon University by 2030, we encourage our students to consider the necessity of having a vehicle on campus and choose local transport, sustainable and active options to make their journey to campus wherever possible.

Parking on campus is free of charge for permit holders only. Visitors can park on campus but must pay to park via one of the payment meters or the Parking Eye App on the signs available. Our Lampeter campus car park is free to visitors between the hours of 5pm to 8am Monday to Friday, and all weekend.

Swansea

Swansea Campus introduced an Automatic Numberplate Recognition System in February 2023.

Parking on campus is for permit holders only. Visitors using the facilities for University purposes can park on campus but must notify parking@uwtsd.ac.uk in advance of their visit and register their vehicle at reception on arrival.

Please be aware that our parking facilities are limited to spaces available and a permit does not guarantee you a space. Our facilities can get very busy during term time and are utilised by staff and visitors also. If you have the option for alternative transport or car sharing, it is highly recommended and encouraged.

Permit Eligibility

All students with either a UWTSD or Coleg Sir Gar email address and student number are eligible for a virtual permit free of charge.

Permits for the academic year 2023–2024 are available on the CPP website. You will need your student.uwtsd.ac.uk email address and student number to apply. Any permits created with a non-UWTSD email will be rejected.

Once permit acceptance confirmation is emailed to you, you will not need to do anything further.

Please note: there is a grace period between the 1st September and 15th October to allow students to register their vehicle with a permit. Our University car parks have Automatic Numberplate Recognition Systems; after this point Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) will begin to be issued to those who have not registered by Parking Eye.
