The Graduate Outcomes survey is a national survey capturing information about the activities and perspectives of graduates 15 months after they finish their studies.

About the survey

All graduates who completed a relevant course will be asked to take part in the survey, to help current and future students gain an insight into career destinations and development. Your responses will also help UWTSD to evaluate and promote our courses.

'Graduate Outcomes' looks to understand whether you’re in employment, have continued with further study or are doing something else, and to what extent your qualification played a part.

The survey is also of national significance. It allows policy makers, charities, journalists, researchers and others to understand the higher education sector and the state of the graduate labour market.

Therefore, it is important that we have your most up-to-date contact details so we can contact you after you graduate.  If you are a current student, you can update your details using MyTSD, however, if you have completed your studies, you can update your contact details below.

When will I be surveyed?

You will be surveyed approximately 15 months after you complete your studies.

Graduates will be grouped across the year into four cohorts based on the end date of your course. Depending on when your course ended, you will receive your survey invitation around 15 months later. For example, if your course ended in May to July 2021, you’ll receive the survey invitation in September 2022.

The table below shows when you’ll be surveyed:

How will I be surveyed? You’ll have approximately 12 weeks to complete the survey, and you will receive emails and texts from 'GradOutcome' to remind you to take part.

You will receive an email from UniversityOfWalesTrinitySaintDavid@graduateoutcomes.ac.uk inviting you to complete the survey online. You may also be contacted by telephone and asked to complete the survey over the phone. If you are not contactable, we may seek the information from a third party, such as a family member.

How will my responses be used?

Your responses will be anonymised and used by UWTSD to support current and prospective students, graduates, and other organisations for research and statistical purposes. Before you start the survey, HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) will provide detailed information about how your data will be processed, who will receive it, and what they will use it for.

How do I make sure I am invited to take part in the survey?

UWTSD will pass on your information to HESA. All you need to do is ensure we have accurate contact information for you – especially a valid personal email and mobile or landline telephone number.

What do I do if I don’t think UWTSD has my accurate contact information?

You can update your contact details at any point up to a week before the survey closes to give us revised contact information. We will return this information to HESA to provide to the contractor delivering the survey.
