There are a number of different funding opportunities available for universities and businesses to access when working in partnership.

Innovate UK 

Innovate UK currently manages a range of programmes and delivery mechanisms to drive innovation. There are a number of current and forthcoming research and development competitions covering a range of technology and application areas.

Welsh Government

Support and funding is available to provide support to Welsh businesses and research organisations to commercialise new products, processes and services developed through research, development and innovation processes. 

If you are thinking about implementing new ideas, creating new, dynamic products, or improving your existing services, you might be eligible for support from our innovation programme.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is one of the UK's leading programmes, helping businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base.

Degree Apprenticeships

Degree Apprenticeships allow employees to complete a relevant part-time degree alongside their work. The cost of training may be met by the Welsh Government or through the Apprenticeship Levy.
