UWTSD have a range of Games course available including Computer Games Development (coding), Creative Games Design and 3D Computer Animation.
The Computer Games Development courses are based within the new SA1 Waterfront development. The Games Development programme is British Computer Society (BCS) accredited with full Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
Focused on designing, implementing, testing and maintenance of high quality computer games, learning skills such as modelling, rendering and lighting, advanced artificial intelligence, advanced graphics, software and games programming. You will gain experience using industry standard software packages such as 3D Studio Max, Maya, Photoshop, DirectX, OpenGL, C++, C#, Java and Action Script.

The Creative Computer Games Design course equips students with the essential skills and practices used within the Games Industry along with the ability to academically analyse and evaluate your own game ideas and designs. The course is for those students who can display skills in art and design alongside an avid interest and knowledge of computer games and the computer games industry. Our graduates have gone on to work with prominent and successful companies such as ROCKSTAR NORTH, ELECTRONIC ARTS, CRITERION, CREATIVE ASSEMBLY and TRAVELLER’S TALES being involved with the development of BURNOUT DOMINATOR, the HARRY POTTER series, GRAND THEFT AUTO V, HALO WARS 2, ALIEN ISOLATION and the LEGO STAR WARS series.
Our 3D Computer Animation course One of the most established computer animation courses in the UK our graduates have gained key industry experience with world-leading production companies, VFX studios and games studios. Graduates have gone on to work on the feature films Interstellar, Jungle Book, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Fantastic Beasts, Hotel Transylvania, Thor, Skyfall, Boxtrolls, World War Z, and many more.
