If you wish to attend the Awards Congregation, you are required to wear full academic dress appropriate to the Award to which you are to be admitted. You are responsible for ordering this yourself at Ede and Ravenscroft.
You should aim to ensure that you place your order at least twenty one days prior to the Ceremony as Ede and Ravenscroft will not guarantee the order if placed any later. Do not wait until the results of your examinations are known.
Refunds are available for any reason you are not able to attend, but you must notify Ede & Ravenscroft at least seven days prior to the Ceremony. Their cancellation policy is available on-line. Ede & Ravenscroft will acknowledge receipt of your order when processed but you may not receive this until 10 days before your Ceremony. To place an order you will also need to know your head circumference, chest and height measurements.
Alternatively, if you do not have access to a computer, you can hire or buy robes by calling the Ede and Ravenscroft call centre on 01223 861854.
Your robes will be available for collection at the Brangwyn Hall on the day of the ceremony. You should collect your robes once you have collected your seat number and guest tickets. Please remember to return your robes after the ceremony.
Due to the large number of students expected to graduate, two guest tickets will be allocated per student. Students are able to request one additional ticket when completing the Graduation Booking process on MyTSD. Once the number of graduates who wish to attend has been confirmed a decision will be made on whether the third ticket can be allocated. This decision will not be made until the week before the ceremonies so please do not telephone Registry querying the availability of additional guest tickets. Guest tickets will be available for collection on the day of the ceremony but you will receive an email in advance confirming the number of tickets you will receive.
If there are any returned tickets for the main venue, then those tickets will be handed out on the day on a first come first served basis and are available from the Information Desk. We recognise that limiting guest tickets in this way may cause some disappointment, but you will appreciate that the seating capacity in the main venue is limited.
Due to the length and formal nature of the proceedings, children under the age of five are not permitted to attend a ceremony. All children will need a ticket – this is due to the Brangwyn Hall’s strict fire regulations. No prams or pushchairs are allowed inside the Hall.
Should you or any of your guests have a disability / specific access requirements that we need to know about, please give details in the relevant section of the Graduation Booking page on MyTSD.
Professional photography will be provided by Ede and Ravenscroft. To save time and money, it is advisable to pre-order online or telephone +44 (0)1223 861854.
On Graduation Day, the photography studios and sales desk will be located in the George Hall. A photographer will also attempt to capture your photograph as you shake the Vice-Chancellor’s hand on stage. This particular photograph will be placed on a secure page on the Ede and Ravenscroft website for you to view and order online if you so wish.
Tell your friends and family that they can watch the ceremonies live! The ceremonies will be streamed live here.
If you would like to book accommodation we've secured an exclusive UWTSD friend and family Hotel Deal with a local hotel.
