The University is proud of its students and their dedication to environmental and sustainable causes.

INSPIRE works with and supports Trinity Saint David Students' Union (TSDSU) and its partners in a number of initiatives.

As a University, we have made the commitment to work together with TSDSU to gain recognition under the Green Impact Environmental Accreditation Scheme.  We currently have a number of bronze, silver and gold awards for both departments and for the Union itself, and we are all working harder to increase theses year on year.

Our dedication to Fairtrade and to support local product purchases is strengthened day after day. As part of this, TSDSU and the University hold a joint Fairtrade Steering Group to implement our Fairtrade Policy and organise activities and campaigns.

Our drive to raise awareness and reduce our Energy usage is done together through initiatives supported by staff and students such as Blackout Wales, Go Green and Foodbanks.

We have 10 dedicated INSPIRE Interns covering Green Impact, Fairtrade, Energy and help with web design and administration for the 3 main campuses in Lampeter, Carmarthen and Swansea.

“We come to university to acquire skills for our future. We welcome University of Wales: Trinity Saint David’s commitment to sustainability and look forward to working together to make what we do fitter for the future.”
