UWTSD is part of the Global Wales Discover programme which is a British Council-run programme funded by the Welsh Government and Global Wales that provides funding for Welsh Universities to deliver short-term mobility opportunities for Welsh undergraduate students to work, study or volunteer in another country.

Welsh students can spend between two and eight weeks studying, working or volunteering in one of the following countries:

EU Member States: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Romania.

Non-EU Member States: USA, Canada, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, India, China and Vietnam.

For students, Global Wales Discover is a valuable opportunity to spend a short time abroad, building skills and confidence, enhancing employability and developing cultural awareness. Funding is available to support students’ living costs and travel.
