Academic study will be very familiar, delivered entirely in English. All IUMW’s courses are mapped against those of UWTSD for easy transfer and exchanges. IUMW students have visited Wales for a number of years, so you may already have made friends with Malaysian students. UWTSD sends visiting tutors for guest lecture delivery at the IUMW campus. IUMW looks forward to welcoming UWTSD students to its “Kampus Kota” or City Campus.
At IUMW you can pursue an education in the following areas:
- Foundation in Science/Arts
- Business Administration
- Professional Communication (a mix of media studies, journalism, creative writing and media production)
Subjects are taught at a variety of levels, from pre-university foundation to bachelors, masters and PhD.

Many student activities are organized on campus and at other venues, from sport, rugby, football, netball, basketball etc. to art and cultural appreciation events. You will be given a special welcome when you participate; there is no need to be an expert.
