Who is it aimed at?

The aim of this session is to expand students’ comprehension of the wider spectrum of information sources, improve their technical vocabulary and enable them to formulate effective search strategies, appropriate to the increased demands of Level 5 study.
By the end of this session students should be able to:
- Understand essential terminology relating to research methods
- Demonstrate an awareness of the wider information sources available
- Understand and analyse the anatomy of a journal article
- Formulate an advanced search strategy
