The aim of this session is to demonstrate the use of the bibliographic software package RefWorks to store and manage references for assignments, projects and dissertations.
Prerequisite: Students should have previously attended a referencing and plagiarism basics session and have experience using databases and retrieving journal articles.
By the end of the session the student will be able to:
- Understand what RefWorks is, how to access it and create a RefWorks account.
- Manage their references with RefWorks including exporting references from Primo/ subject databases.
- Understand how to use RefWorks with Word to create references and a bibliography.
