UWTSD to host Annual Lampeter Christmas Fayre
23.11.2022
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David will host the annual Lampeter ‘Town and Gown’ Christmas Fayre in December.
On Saturday, December 10th, craftspeople, food producers and artists from across west Wales will gather in the Old Hall and the Lloyd Thomas Building on the Lampeter campus to sell their produce at this festive event. People of all ages are welcome to attend with an opportunity to visit Father Christmas in his grotto. The event begins at 2pm until 6pm.
“We’re really looking forward to this year’s Christmas Fayre – once again, it promises to be a great community event,” said Gwilym Dyfri Jones, Provost of the Lampeter Campus.
“The Lampeter Christmas Fayre is now a firm favourite in the University calendar and offers a fantastic opportunity to bring together university staff and students as well as hundreds of visitors from the local area. It’s also a great opportunity to soak up a wonderful festive atmosphere and to support local producers and crafters. It’s always worth remembering that small purchasing decisions can have an important impact on our local community; a pound spent locally goes much further than one spent in a supermarket or in a large high street chain store.”
During the event, visitors will be entertained by Côr Cwmann, Côr Bytholwyrdd, Côr Cynradd Ysgol Bro Pedr, and the St Vincent Choir, and there will also be an opportunity to help raise funds for the town’s food bank by taking part in the raffle.
