UWTSD to host Carmarthen campus Careers Fair for students and alumni

UWTSD will host its Carmarthen campus Careers Fair on Tuesday, 24 January, where students and alumni will have an opportunity to meet with potential employers and hear more about the employment opportunities available in a variety of sectors.

Hosted by the University’s Careers Service, a wide range of employers, organisations and volunteering opportunity providers will be present including local councils, teaching agencies, the NHS, Admiral and many more.

Career Advisors from the University will also be on hand to offer support. The careers team provides one to one career advice and guidance to current students and alumni, help with CV, applications, interview preparation and advice on finding work experience.

Jane Bellis, Executive Careers Advisor, said: “We are very happy to hold an in-person Careers event on the Carmarthen campus with so many graduate employers and voluntary organisations after a long hiatus due to the pandemic. I would like to thank everyone involved in making this happen, particularly the Careers staff and academic contacts who have supported the event. We encourage all students and graduates to make the most of the opportunity to meet employers in person and find out about what we can offer as a service.”

The careers service at UWTSD are proud to highlight that they offer a service to alumni regardless of their year of graduation and are as available to recent graduates, as they are to those that graduated many years ago and are looking for a career change or have experienced redundancy.

The event will be held at the Halliwell Centre on UWTSD’s Carmarthen campus (SA31 3EP).

If anyone would like any support in preparing for the fair, please contact the Careers Service via careers@uwtsd.ac.uk

Transport from other campuses will also be available. Again, please email careers@uwtsd.ac.uk to book your place.
