Life Patterns Exhibition at UWTSD Carmarthen

BA Art and Design students and MA Applied Arts/Design/Fine Art students at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) Carmarthen will be exhibiting their work between the 22nd of May and the 5th of June at Parry Art and Design Carmarthen. The exhibitions will be open to the public between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

For the first time in the history of Art and Design in Higher Education in Wales students will be graduating having undertaken their degree through the medium of Welsh.

BA Art and Design and Celf a Dylunio at UWTSD Carmarthen are degrees that challenge students to think creatively and innovatively. Students are taught in a person focused way and are encouraged to explore the visual language of art and design in a combination of separate entities.

Ffion Roberts-Drakely, Art and Design student said: “The experience and learning of Art and Design, in all forms, gives you the extra space to discover your real creative passion.”

BA Art and Design is a degree in which the student can develop multidisciplinary skills in an environment where the Welsh language is central to the creative culture. The programme is particularly suited to those who wish to explore and integrate different aspects of Art and Design into professional development.

The Postgraduate MA courses within the school of Fine Art and Photography include MA Applied Arts, MA Design and MA Fine Art. These modular courses build upon the existing traditions of each of these creative disciplines, and emphasis is placed upon advanced creative research, entrepreneurial practice and career development skills.

The exhibitions will be closed on 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th and 31st of May.
