UWTSD and Tribal sign contract for new Student Records System


The University of Wales Trinity Saint David has signed a £1.6 million contract with the Tribal Group for the provision of data management software and services. The 10 year contract is part of the University’s strategic plan to bring together two previous systems for managing data, including student records across all of its campuses in Carmarthen, Lampeter and Swansea following the recent mergers.

Tribal’s ‘SITS: Vision’ solution was chosen following an intensive EU tendering include enhanced online self-service facilities to enable applicants to track their application; it will enable students to enrol, choose modules and manage their personal information and it will also enable alumni to maintain their contact with the University. It is part of the University’s many initiatives across its campuses in Carmarthen, Lampeter and Swansea designed to enhance student engagement and improve the student experience.

The new Student Records System will also improve the quality and integrity of data produced for the UWTSD Group and will facilitate efficient strategic planning and reporting on data.
