Why University?

University or Higher Education is the continuation of study after the age of 18 and is a natural step for many moving on from school or college education.

It is without a doubt a big investment and a life-changing experience, and we understand that with so many options available to students after leaving school or college, you may be wondering how can your loved one know that University is the right path for them?

  • Besides greater earning potential and better career prospects, Higher Education provides students with an opportunity to learn more about a subject that they love and ultimately follow a career path within that area. While there are certain professions that require a specific qualification, for example, a lawyer, teacher, or nurse, for those without a specific career path in mind, having a degree can open doors to a range of opportunities.

  • As well as developing a knowledge of a subject area, university students build invaluable skills that will be useful in all aspects of life after they graduate - from time management, budgeting and money management, to self-confidence and independence.
  • As well as the academic aspects, university is an excellent social and cultural experience with many students choosing to move away from home for the first time. It is an opportunity to meet like-minded people and make friends from different courses, even different parts of the world. They'll broaden their horizons as they explore new and wonderful interests and activities.

  • The university experience as a whole will allow students to grow as individuals as well as provide them with essential employability skills and subject-specific knowledge.
