Tony Grey

Tony Grey has a long association with research in the school and is currently a consultant and member of the Wales Qatar Archaeology Project. He is currently working on the final report for one of the excavations which will be published as a monograph. Tony (Anthony) Grey is a well known and respected expert on archaeological ceramics. Until recently Tony was a senior finds officer with the Museum of London (MOLAS Museum of London Archaeological Services.
In addition to his work on Roman medieval and later ceramics from London and the south-east he has also researched and carried out studies of ceramics from Israel/Palestine, Jordan, Qatar and Turkmenistan. Tony has collaborated with Andrew Petersen on a number of projects most recently on pottery from the Hajj forts in Jordan and the ceramics from Ruwayda and Rubayqa in Qatar.
