Humanities at UWTSD offers postgraduate studies for the research degrees of MRes, MPhil, and PhD as well as Professional Doctorate in Interfaith Studies, Heritage, and English Language Education and English Literature.
Students can study as full-time or part-time student, on campus or distance. Applicants are expected to have a MA degree in a related discipline. We are a research-intensive department that carries out research in theology and religious studies, heritage, history, classics, archaeology, anthropology, development studies, philosophy, creative writing and English Language Education.
We have expertise in a range of disciplines within the humanities and our postgraduate students are supervised by scholars of international renown standing. Our students benefit also from training programmes offered by the Doctoral College in addition to being part of lively research community in Lampeter that integrates distance learners.
