Delivering the Historical and Contextual Studies provision to Graphic Design and Advertising Design undergraduate students.
The role encompasses researching, preparing and delivering courses of lectures appropriate to undergraduate students enrolled on the Graphic Design and Advertising design programmes. The work includes marking, assessing and responding with appropriate feedback to the students. The role also involves undertaking the supervision of dissertation students in their third year of their degree programme. As part of my administration duties, my role includes the co-ordination of Dissertation Module across the Faculty.
Within the area of Historical and Contextual Studies, I teach the following modules which enquire into the historical, socio-political, cultural and theoretical underpinnings of their practice:
- Communication, Context, Change
- Design, Audience, Consumer
My research interests include Visual Semiotics, Multimodality and Cultural Communication.
