Dr G. Angharad Fychan BA, PhD

My main responsibility is to edit new articles and revisions of first edition articles to be published in the Online Dictionary. I am also responsible for maintaining and adding to a large database of electronic texts used to search for evidence of word usage when compiling Dictionary entries.

I graduated in Welsh and Geography from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth (1993), before going on to study the place-names of northern Buellt for my doctorate (2001). I was appointed Assistant Editor on the University of Wales Dictionary in 1996, and was promoted to Senior Editor in 2008.
