Mrs Sarah Loxdale BA(Hons)
Workforce Teaching Fellow
Since leaving the University of Wales, Swansea with a BA Hons Degree in Welsh, Sarah started her career with the Dyfed Education Business Partnership. Sarah took a lead on developing work related projects across West Wales that linked education, business and industry together.
During her time at the EBP Sarah was instrumental in securing Interreg funding to develop a cross border enterprise initiative for secondary schools across West Wales and Southern Ireland – Celtic Enterprises. With her experience of working with education, business and industry Sarah then went on to secure a number of senior roles within Careers Wales West. Currently, Sarah is a Policy Manager for Careers Wales and takes a lead in developing the company’s policy and strategy relating to links with FE and HE and an all Wales Education Business Partnership.
In 2010 Sarah joined the Work Based Learning Teaching Fellow team and has supported students that have been undertaking the RAL module. More recently Sarah has been supporting the delivery of the elevate programme. Since completing her degree Sarah took a work based learning route to progress with her learning.
She has studied with the Institute of Leadership & Management and Manchester University. With Sarah’s background in Careers Education and Guidance she is in full support of the Work Based Learning agenda.
Having been brought up locally in the Tywi Valley and educated at Ysgol Tre-Gib Sarah is a fluent Welsh speaker. Sarah now lives in the Gwendraeth Valley and is married to James and has two young children.
