HE lecturer across levels 4-6 in sport, rugby and football coaching programmes.

FE lecturer across level 3.

S&C coach across rugby, individual and netball academies.

Having qualified in 2000 I entered education as a full-time career, and have concentrated on units involving conditioning, fitness testing and programming and nutrition.

During this period, I have worked internally and externally in volunteer and paid roles, as a strength and conditioning coach across a range of individual and team sports.

Associate member of the UK Strength and Conditioning Association

and member of their special interest group on S&C in schools / colleges

I have always been interested in studying human movement across a range of performance and aesthetic disciplines. Specific interests are in Olympic lifting, acceleration and speed and jump mechanics.

Module leader on Strength and Conditioning 1, 2 and 3 (at levels 4, 5 and 6 respectively).

Supervisor on Independent Project at level 6.

Over 20 years as a strength and conditioning coach (education / private sector).

Over 20 years delivering sports HE (HNC/HND/FdSc/BSc.) under University of Glamorgan (University of South Wales) and UWTSD sport and dance programmes.

Delivery on WRU level 2 coaching qualification.

External commercial consultancy to develop staff knowledge, improve facilities and impact on member health across a range of clients e.g. NHS and Burns Pet Food.

Collaborative fitness testing and aesthetic competency study published in International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) newsletter in 2018.

Committee member of Llanelli Weightlifting Club (President)
