Current research is focused on developing an optimal model for light-tissue interaction for arbitrary geometry, especially focused on parallelism of such unstructured meshes across high-performance CPU (MPI) and GPGPU (CUDA/OpenCL) implementations. Additionally working on dynamic growth algorithms for the application to parallelism models.
Additional interests include benchmarking, mixed-mode parallelism, microprocessors, motivation and gamification theory.
Presently consulting on an ERDF project with local SMEs (7 intended) as part of the HPC Wales grant. Areas include developing parallelised MPI code, distributed rendering and failover clustering for virtualisation.
